Lead
Lead does not come from the well itself. However, it can be leached from the plumbing and fixers inside the home, due to low pH.
A neutralizer can be installed to raise the pH to the acceptable range of 6.5-8.5. This will make the water less corrosive and damaging to your plumbing and/or fixtures plus it will prevent lead from being leached.
Another way to correct lead in water is a reverse osmosis system. A reverse osmosis system is installed at the kitchen sink and provides you with a separate faucet for drinking water. These systems can remove many impurities along with lead and nitrates from drinking water.
